I feel proud of this...

So in English class, we had to write two poems describing a place we like and/or have been/ have never been to in the style of Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson.. So of course I described a beach! I feel proud of this hahaha. Enjoy:

Relaxation
While at the beach, I lay on the sand
Watching the clear blue water that sits in front of me
I hear the children laugh and play with the roaring waves,
The sound of the water moving in and out of shore,
For me, this is true relaxation.
The sun’s rays lay over me like a warm blanket,
Calming my body and taking away the stress caused by my daily life.
The movement of the palm leaves moving with the air,
The smell of the salt water, and coconuts, and air all surround me.
I feel the soft hands of the breeze massaging my back,
While my eyes are closed and mind is empty of worry,
This is my utmost relaxation.


Relaxation
At the Beach I lay¬¬---
Children laughing I hear
In and out of shore--- the water so clear---
It’s what I hear---
It’s Relaxation.
Over me--- the blanket of Sunshine
Calms me---
For Stress--- has quit me
Palms dance with Air
My eyes closed--- Mind relaxed
As Breeze--- with soft hands
Massages my back
It’s my utmost--- Relaxation.

Girls see over 400 ads a day telling them how they should look

I wrote my research paper about the media's impact on girls and decided to share what I learned with you because I think that this is a very serious situation that is making many girls feel insecure, depressed and some even go as far as commuting suicide. We live in a world where the ideal body is like a stick person, and everyone wants to be Barbie.

1. Girls, don't believe this kind of advertisements.
2. The majority of them aren't even real, don't you know what Photoshop can do?
3. Don't compare yourself to the women in these ads, half of them have eating disorders such as anorexia, since many of them only eat plain lettuce and water every week. Many of these women are going through depression. Don't become like one of them.
4. Embrace your own shape and size, don't listen to what ads say, "lose weight, tips on losing weight, diets"... Blah blah blah.
5. It is absolutely impossible to achieve the ideal body that magazines portray; girls, these aren't real natural bodies.
6. Beauty=Personality, confidence, happiness and being you!
7. Barbie is just a doll!

Why do week days go by so slow?

Well that's what I thought was happening... I thought this week was going by so slow, and I couldn't stop whinning about it. I forgot I didn't go to school Monday.... Ahhhh... That's why. Today, for the whole day, I thought it was only Wednesday. Don't you love that? When you find out the week is almost over when you realize it's THURSDAY?! AH YES! Finallyyy! The week is still going by slow, but at least today it's almost over.. And guess what? Tomorrow is FRIDAY :)! It has been a pretty chill week... School hasn't been hard, no tests, no stress. Cool. Favorite day of the week: Thursday . After thursday comes Friday;) haha. Right now, I am super duper absolutely extremelly excited
to the max. Yep. 8:00 p.m = winter ballllll! Dude, let's JUST DANCE! This blog is really pointless. But, I'm doing it so that I don't fall asleep on Kory again hah! And also because I want to share my excitement! Yah budddyyy! This will be my last blog for today, maybe.

Snow snow go away come again another day!

Dear snow (and winter),
You are pretty, shinny, fluffy, you give us snow days, and I like you for that. But... Why do you have to stay here for so long?! Honestly, I am getting tired of you.... Please melt faster! You were pretty exciting when I first met you, but now when I go outside it's different. I still like how pretty you look; not so much how cold your lover winter is. I'm not feeling the coldness that you both bring. You see, I'm a beach, sunny, warm weather girl; not a snow, cloudy, wet girl (that sounded weird) so hurry up and melt dude! Let your friend summer come along and play:) I like him, and it has been so long since I've seen him... Snow, you make me sad, I don't like looking out my window and seeing how dark the sky is when it's only six! You make me depressed, lazy, and sleepy way too early. All I want for you is to hurry up, melt, for winter to take a vacation, and for you to call summer. If summer doesn't answer, at least call your other friend spring. I like seeing flowers and colors on the ground more than seeing just plain white ice.

My favorite place is inside your hug<3
So there is this boy in my life that totally caught my attention the first time I saw him. Kory Hunter, my boyfriend. He is just the most amazing guy I have ever met... He makes me feel completely happy and alive and I would give up every minute to be with him. He is the only one who can truly make me smile when I am sad, and it is impossible to be mad at him. I love how just writing this makes me smile and think of him. I love his hugs, his smile, his advice, his kindness, and the times we have spent together. He makes me feel like the most beautiful girl in the whole world even when I know I dont look good. He's the perfect boyfriend, and I am in love with him<3

Best Friend

Everyone has different best friends at different times of their lives. However, only one can be truly called the real best friend. A best friend is not only someone who you can always have fun with, but also someone who you can trust with all your heart. A best friend is someone who listens to you when you had a really great time and even when you're telling them about a horrific and hard time that you had. A best friend will always be there for you when you need to just cry and talk about anything. My best friend is like my sister, and she usually gives the opinion I mostly care about. It's a big deal when we make pinky promises and we never break them. My best friend is the only one who knows absolutely everything about me. When we are together, we can act as stupid as we want and laugh about it. This is what makes our friendship worth having and I never want to lose it; no matter if I move a billion miles away.

A Little Bit About My Life

Today, I decided to create a Blogger. Let's see how this goes, I am not a writer. In this first post, I am going to talk about my life and my experiences. I was born in South America, in a place called Venezuela. If I tell someone to compare me to a season, they would say summer. Why? well probably because I am tan all the time, and also because I was born surrounded by sunny, breezy, warm weather, and exotic animals and flowers of warm colors like the bird of paradise (my favorite). I like being compared to summer, it is my favorite season. I lived in Venezuela for 12 years, until we got news from my father; we were moving to a place almost the complete opposite of where we lived, the United States. This new place was like a whole different planet for me, and I felt so lost when I came! It has every season, people speak English, which I had no knowledge about whatsoever. Something that impressed me the most was the weather, it wasn't sunny or warm anymore. Thats when I saw snow for the first time and I loved it. I was so excited that I forgot about a bigger challenge I needed to face, school. My first day of school, I can't describe. Walking through the halls felt like walking in a dark cave with a large mouth at the end waiting to devour me, I was so nervous. I just wanted to go home and cry forever. Every night, I had nightmares and could not sleep... I did not want to face another day of school again. But, I had to... I had no other choice. The two sentences that got me through the day were "I do not speak English", and "Can I go to the restroom please?". The second one was my favorite, it was the only one I could use to scape from a class. Finally, I did not have to use those words anymore. I remember the girl sitting in front of me in study hall... She saved me. I remember the word that came out of her mouth "Hola"... What did she just say? Did I understand right? Is this a dream? It was not a dream, she actually spoke Spanish. She became my best friend, and she still is now. After six months, I was more used to the environment and I started to come out of my shell. Before, I did not have the guts to talk to anyone. Today, I am confident, and proud of who I am because I made it out of that experience. I will never forget this experience, and I will continue to tell everyone about it.

My experience is like the life cycle of a Butterfly:

I was first an egg,

Then a caterpillar,

I was in a chrysalys,

When it opened,

I became a buterfly.
